The Potala Palace, is an iconic symbol of Tibetan Buddhism and architectural marvel. Originally built in the 7th century, it served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lama until the 14th Dalai Lama fled to India during the Tibetan uprising in 1959. Perched atop Marpo Ri hill, the palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring towering white and red buildings adorned with intricate artwork and religious relics. Namtso Lake, is one of the highest and most stunning lakes in the world. Itinerary

Day 01Kathmandu (1337m)

Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, you will proceed to the visa service center to apply for your visa. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing / Visa day

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a tour to Shri-Pashupatinath Temple and Budhanilkhantha (Sleeping Vishnu) Temple. Continue your visit to Swyambhunath Stupa. The remaining time is dedicated to preparing for the Kailash Yatra. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03 and 04Kathmandu and Nagarkot or Dhulikhel:

Set on a full day exploration of Kathmandu Valley, visiting significant sites such as the Shree Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilkantha, Swayambhunath, and Bhaktapur. Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 05Kathmandu to Lhasa (3660m):

After breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu International Airport for a 55-minute flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, receive a traditional Khada and Tibetan hospitality before driving to your hotel. Check-in at a tourist level hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 06Lhasa City Exploration:

Begin your exploration of Lhasa, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and Norbulinka. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07Excursion to Namtso Lake:

After breakfast, set yourself on a scenic drive to Namtso Lake (4720m), one of Tibet’s five most picturesque lakes. Return to Lhasa in the evening and visit Barkhor Street. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08Shigatse (3850m):

Depart for Shigatse, a journey of about 270km taking 5 to 6 hours. Check into the hotel and explore Shigatse City and its renowned Shigatse Monastery. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09Tingri (4300m):

Drive to Tingri, covering approximately 240km in 5 to 6 hours. Check into a tourist hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring Tingri and the Everest National Park area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10Rongbuk (5010m) and Everest Base Camp Trek:

After breakfast, drive to Rongbuk, a journey of about 110km taking 3 hours. Begin your trek to Everest Base Camp (5150m), passing by Rongbuk Monastery and the ruins of Sherab Chholing Nunnery. Overnight stay at Rongbuk trekkers’ guest house.

Day 11Kerung (2900m):

Drive from Rongbuk to Kerung, covering approximately 340km in 7 hours. Check into the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 12Kerung to Kathmandu:

After breakfast, exit the border and drive back to Kathmandu. Check into the hotel upon arrival and overnight stay.

Day 13Departure

After breakfast, our staff will guide you with a vehicle for your departure transfer to the airport.
