Itinerary

Day 01Lucknow – Nepalgunj (150 m)

Upon arrival in Lucknow, you will be received by our representative and transfer to Nepalgunj (190 Km, 4hrs). The rest of the day is free for personal activities

Day 02Nepalgunj – Simikot (2,950m)

Take a scenic flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot for about 55 minutes. Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas and the remote Karnali region during the flight. Spend a beautiful day at the small mountain town of Simikot. Visit local Temples and Monasteries.

Day 03Simikot – Hilsa (3700m)

Early morning drive from Simikot to Hilsa (92Km, 5-6 hrs) by jeep. The journey follows a rugged mountain road through remote valleys, traditional villages, and along the Karnali River, offering spectacular views of the Himalayan landscapes. Upon arrival in Hilsa, rest and prepare for the onward journey toward the Tibet border.

Day 04Hilsa – Purang

Walk 20 minutes and cross the bridge over the Karnali River to Sher, complete immigration formalities, and then continue your journey to Purang (27 Km, 1hour). Take short walks around the town, visit nearby monasteries, and enjoy the views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape while allowing your body to adjust to the high altitude.

Day 05Purang –Sacred Lake Mansarovar (4,560 m)

Drive to Sacred Lake Mansarovar. Divine Darshana of the Sacred Lake Mansarovar and Parikrama. Darshana of Southern Façade (Guru Mukh) of Mt. Kailash, Gurlaman-Daata Himalaya, Chiu–Gompa and Ravan Lake also called Rakshes Tal; during the Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake

Day 06Lake Mansarovar to Darchen (4,670m)

The morning is free for spiritual activities. Have a divine darshan of Mansarovar Lake and Mount Kailash at dawn with Sunrise view over the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Perform Puja and Vedic Rituals for a deeper spiritual connection. Afterward, drive to Darchen (40 km, 1-2 hours), the base for the Kailash Parvat. Check into the hotel for rest and prepare for the holy Mt. Kailash Parikrama.

Day 07Darchen to Driaphuk (4,860m)

After breakfast, drive to Yam-Dwar (20 minutes), the starting point of the Kailash Parikrama. Begin your trek to Diraphuk (12/13 km, 6 to7hours). Along the way, divine darshan of the west face of Mount Kailash and follow the river originating from the northern feet of the Mount Kailash. Upon reaching Diraphuk, take in the stunning views of Kailash Purna-Lingam, Sesh-Sworupa, the sacred Shivasthali and Diraphuk Gompa.

Day 08Driaphuk to Zhuthulphuk (4,760m)

Trek to Zhuthulphuk, covering 22 km in 9-10 hours, while crossing Dolma-La (5670m), the highest elevation of this Yatra. Along the way, Darshana of sacred sites of Shivasthali, Ganesh Kund, Ganesh Parvat and Gauri Kund, the sacred abode of Mata Parvati also regards as the navel of the Earth. As you descend, witness the stunning east face of Mount Kailash, which is revered as a
Shree-Yantram, symbolizing divine energy and cosmic significance.

Day 09Zhuthulphuk – Purang

Trek for approximately 3 hours to complete the Kailash Parikrama. Upon reaching the end point of the Parikrama, you will be received by your vehicle and drive to Darchen. After a short rest in Darchen drive to Purang.

Day 10Purang to Simikot

Drive from Purang to Sher, Complete border clearance and walk 20 minutes to the hotel. After lunch further drive from Hilsa to Simikot by jeep.

Day 11Simikot – Nepalgunj – Lucknow

Fly from Simikot to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, freshen up at the hotel and continue your journey by road to Lucknow for your further destination.

Additional Expenses

• So far, the additional expenses out of the package cost for Kailash is hiring a personal horse and porter. Recently, the Tibetan authorities have implemented a rule for individuals who hire a personal horse for the 3-day Kailash Parikrama should also hire a personal porter. Advised to Carry Yuan 5000/ per person as additional expenses.
