Gokyo Cho-La Pass and Everest Base Camp Trek is the breezy trek into the Everest/Khumbu region which consolidates the Everest Base Camp with the Gokyo valley and the high Cho-La pass at the height of 5369 m. This trekking trail offers the shocking perspectives on numerous Himalaya Peaks  like Mt. Everest (8848m.), Barun-Tse, Lhotse, Makalu, Amadablam, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, Mt. Pumori and many more. The common excellence, rich and extraordinary culture of the Sherpa occupants, lavish woodland, strolling over the day off, high pass gives the glorious delight to the guests which will be the lifetime memory. Gokyo valley is the remote Himalayan Valley which offers the perspective on the mountains, Glaciers, Gokyo Lake and so on. The significant features of this trek are the mountain vistas, Sacred Lakes of Gokyo and wonderful river valleys, icy masses, crossing Cho-La pass and so forth.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1,337 m)

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, attend a short briefing about the trek and prepare for it.

Day 2Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)

Enjoy a scenic mountain flight to Lukla (2,800 m), the gateway to Everest. Begin your trek through lush forests and traditional Sherpa settlements, following the Dudh Koshi River to the charming village of Phakding.

Day 3Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Today’s trek takes you through pine forests and across several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, the trail climbs steadily to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant trading hub of the Khumbu region.

Day 4Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar

A rest and acclimatization day to adjust to the altitude. Take a short hike to Everest View Hotel for spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Visit the Sherpa Museum or explore the colorful local market before relaxing in the evening.

Day 5Namche Bazaar to Phortse Thanga (3,680 m)

The trail ascends gradually through rhododendron forests with chances to see Himalayan pheasants and musk deer. Reach the peaceful settlement of Phortse Thanga by afternoon.

Day 6Phortse Thanga to Machhermo (4,470 m)

Continue your trek past Dole village and alpine pastures. The landscape opens up with amazing views of Cho Oyu (8,201 m) before reaching Machhermo.

Day 7Machhermo to Gokyo (4,790 m)

Ascend beside the Dudh Koshi River and pass several turquoise lakes before reaching the spectacular Gokyo Village, nestled beside the third lake.

Day 8Climb Gokyo Ri & Trek to Dragnag (4,700 m)

Early morning hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357 m) for one of the best Himalayan panoramas — Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu. Afterward, descend and cross the glacier to Dragnag.

Day 9Cross Cho-La Pass (5,369 m) to Dzongla (4,830 m)

A challenging but rewarding day. Climb over the icy Cho-La Pass, enjoying dramatic scenery of frozen lakes and snowy peaks, before descending carefully to Dzongla.

Day 10Dzongla to Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,180 m)

Walk along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, reach Lobuche, then continue to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp.

Day 11Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) & Return to Pheriche (4,240 m)

Today is the highlight of the trek! Follow the glacier trail to Everest Base Camp, standing at the foot of the world’s highest peak. After soaking in the views, return through Gorak Shep and descend to Pheriche.

Day 12Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

Descend through beautiful mountain valleys, passing Pangboche and Tengboche monasteries, then continue back to Namche.

Day 13Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Follow the Dudh Koshi River downhill through forests and suspension bridges to Lukla, celebrating the completion of your trek with your team.

Day 14Fly Back to Kathmandu

Morning scenic flight to Kathmandu. Free afternoon to relax, shop, or enjoy a farewell dinner.

Day 15Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight.
