Tour Details

The Annapurna Circuit or Round Annapurna Trek; has been highly demanded and is a spectacular trekking route in the Annapurna region since it opened to foreign trekkers in 1977. This two-week trek starts right from Besisahar – Syange (1100 m) that goes along the Marshyangdi River, with great views of Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Hiu Chuli to the east.

This magnificent trek leads you to the fine village inhabited by a wide diversity of people from different ethnic groups. The continuosions of the north is the high and dry (rainshed) Mustang Valley. The Mustang Valley has similer landscape of the western Tibetan Platue, ofcourse it is breathtaking magnificent view of Himalayan Platue and snocapped Mountains peaks. It is highly rich by Budhism and nomadic culture. The highest point of the trek is Thorang La Pass at the top of the valley (5,416 m). The world’s deepest gorge passes between the giant Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains is another main charm of this trek.

Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu (1,337 m)

Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, attend a short briefing about your trek.

Day 02Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani (1,960 m) Via Besishahar

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive westward, following the Prithvi Highway to Besisahar and continuing along the Marsyangdi River valley to Dharapani. Enjoy your first taste of mountain scenery and local life.

Day 03Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2,650 m) - 6 Hours

Start trekking along forested trails, passing pine and oak trees with river crossings and small settlements. Chame, the district headquarters of Manang, offers great mountain views and warm local hospitality.

Day 04Trek from Chame to Pisang (3,200 m) - 7 hours

After breakfast, start trek aside river passing through a narrow and steep gorge to reach Pisang via Bratang and Dukur Pohari. The splendid view of Annapurna range, culture and scenery is beyond the imagination.

Day 05Trek from Pisang to Manang (3,560 m) - 7 Hours via Ghyaru and Ngawal

Trek for 7 hrs to reach Manang. Manang village is an isolated and the most prepossessing valley in the close surrounding of the Tibetan border.

Day 06Acclimatization Day in Manang

Rest day at Manang village. Explore Manang village and short climb high above the village for the panoramic views of the Annapurna range and the Manang Valley. A short visit of the Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) – aid post in the village, makes interesting educational excursions. A memorable visit to Ganagapurna Glacier Lake makes your rest day too interesting.

Day 07Trek from Manang to Tilicho Base Camp (4,150 m) - 6 hours

After breakfast, cross the Khangsar Khola to reach Khangsar heading towards the village region. The village also known as the” Last Village of Nepal” still preserving the ancient Tibetian culture and structures. Further trek to Tilicho Base Camp, following high crest and descend towards side valley.

Day 08Trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake (4920 m) to Shree Kharka (4080 m) - 8 hours

Start trek as early as possible in the morning to Tilicho Lake because wind can make trek harder later on day. Tilicho Lake is considered as a sacred lake in Hindu and Buddhist mythology and also claimed as the highest lake of the world. After a short exploration of Lake, return back same way reaching to Shree Kharka.

Day 09Trek from Shree Kharka to Yak Kharka (4,000 m) - 6 hours

After breakfast, start trek steadily through Tenki Manang, passing Marsyandi Valley and Jarsang Khola to reach Yak Kharka. The Nepali meaning of Kharka is alpine pasture. The name Yak Kharka came into existence as locals started identifying the grazing of Yaks in this place.

Day 10Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedi (4,450 m) - 6 hours

After breakfast trek to Ledar ascending along the east bank of the Jarang Khola reaching to Thorang Phedi, a place with a rock-strewn grassland surrounded by vertical cliffs. Sometimes, you can have a luck to see Snow Leopard and Blue Sheep. The day is also important for acclimatization for crossing the highest pass in this trek the next day.

Day 11Cross Thorung La Pass (5,416 m) and Trek to Muktinath (3,800 m) - 8 hours

Start trek early in the morning to reach Thorang-La Pass, where you can see a huge quantity of Buddhist prayers flags (Lungta) along with unbelievable views of Annapurna range, Gangapurna and Khatung Kang (heavily glaciated peak). After short exploration at the Pass, descend across the valley for about 1 and half kilometers with the view of Dhaulagiri entering the grassy fields to reach Muktinath, a sacred temple of both Hindus and Buddhists religion meaning Nirvana of life. Believing that all pains and sorrows relieve after visiting this temple.

Day 12Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2,720 m) - 5 hours

Start trek after breakfast, descending trail towards Eklebhatti following Kaligandaki River and Kagbenni reaching Jomsom; a headquarter and the main place for peoples of Mustang district (optional drive to Jomsom).

Day 13Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara - 20 mins (Flight)

After breakfast, check-in to Jomsom Airport to fly Pokhara. Arrival receive and check-in to the hotel. Visit Mountain Museum, Davis fall, Guptshwor Cave, Boating in Fewa Lake for about 1 hour. Evening time free for self excursion.

Day 14Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,337 m) -6 hours

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu along the same beautiful route following the Trishuli River. Upon arrival, you can rest or do some last-minute shopping in Thamel for souvenirs and handicrafts.

Day 15Departure

After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight.
