Rolwaling and Tashi Lapcha trek cross the most beautiful alpine valley in the perfect tranquility in the eastern  central himalayan location, amazing valleys & gorge, traditional culture & Buddhist religion, pristine forest, in the close backdrop of the high Gauri-Shankar and Everest Range. This trek had been once closed to western trekkers, now it’s opened from the 90’s with an additional special charge. it’s one of the most exquisite high alpine treks which starts from Singati of Dolkha district on the principle toll road to Tibet. This trekking is combination of beautiful Rolwaling Valley and Khubu Region of Himalaya. With the challenge and excitement of crossing high mountain Pass (Tashi Lapcha) you can view the panoramic beauty of mountains like Mt. Gauri Shankar, Mt. Lakpa, Mt. Dorje, Mt. Everest, Tso Rolpa Lake and many more.

Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu (1,337 m)

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, attend a short briefing about the trek and prepare for it.

Day 2Drive from Kathmandu to Singati (1,020 m) – 10 hrs

After breakfast, drive northeast on BP Highway that connects Nepal with China. From Lamosanghu, leave the highway and move to Jiri for lunch and further drive to Singati.

Day 03Trek from Singati to Jagat (1,250 m) – 6 hrs

The journey begins with a trek along the Tamakoshi River, that continues with flat path. Several streams, jungles with varieties of Orchid, Rhododendron, the flora and fauna of Mahabharat range make trek interesting. After crossing a suspension bridge you will reach Jagat, a small town with people of different ethnicity.

Day 04Jagat to Simigaon (2,025 m) – 5 hrs

After Breakfast, the trail leads through the jungle that follows the river bank. As the valley becomes narrows, crossing over the suspension bridge and steep climb takes you to the Sherpa village of Simigaon, settled on the lap of the Himalaya.

Day 05Simigaon to Dovan (2,850 m) – 6 hrs

After breakfast, trek begins with the walk on the gradual uphill slope passing through a beautiful thick forest of rhododendron and Magnolia. The trial can be changed due to the flood every season. Trekking continues above the hillside descending to the river through the huts in an area called Gyalche. After crossing a small wooden bridge trek ends for this day.

Day 06Dovan to Beding (3,690 m) – 6 hrs

Cross the Rolwaling River taking a path leading through the jungles on the northern side, After gradual ascend through small village of Nyimare, Ramding and small farm you reach to Beding. Sherpas are the principal residence of the village in the Rolwaling area.

Day 07Acclimatization Day in Beding

Before reaching higher elevation, take necessary rest day for acclimatization. You can get a better view of Mt. Gaurishanker, Mt. Kangnachugo, Mt. Chekigo and more after short hiking around and top of the village.

Day 08Beding to Na Gaon (4,180 m) – 4 hrs

A short trek today following the Rolwaling River upstream. The views open up as you enter alpine terrain dotted with prayer flags and yak pastures.

Day 09Na Gaon to Kabug (Tsho Rolpa Lake, 4,560 m) – 5 hrs

After a nice time at Rolwaling Valley, trek starts in the morning crossing the river near Yersa at Sangma. Reach Tso Rolpa, you can see beautiful peaks including Tsoboje (6,689 m), Dragker-Cross (6,793 m).

Day 10Kabug to Drolambau Glacier (5,400 m) – 5 hrs

Today’s trail leads toward the Drolambau Glacier, surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. This section feels remote and adventurous, offering breathtaking glacier scenery.

Day 11Drolambau Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Phedi (5,550 m) – 6 hrs

After breakfast trek trail leads uphill through some rock climbing and gentle walk on the glacier. The slippery way makes the trek more adventurous. The scenic beauty with snow surrounding amazes you a great experience of trekking. Reach Tashi Labcha Phedi.

Day 12Cross Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755 m) and Trek to Ngole (5,110 m) -7 hours

Start early to cross the high Tashi Lapcha Pass, entering the Khumbu region. Enjoy stunning views of Everest, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. Carefully descend to Ngole.

Day 13Ngole to Thyangbo (4,350 m) – 5 hrs

After breakfast, trek easier glacier paths as the trails are smooth and downhill. Descend on the trail to reach Parchemuche Tsho, a glacial lake in the Khumbu region. With a view of Pasang Lhamu Chuli (7350m) and Cho Oyu (8201m), reach Thyangbo.

Day 14Thyangbo to Thame (3,800 m) – 5 hrs

Trek through yak pastured land, trail is bumpy and downhill. Follow a small stream throughout the way to relish the beauty and calmness of the environment. Arrive at the Power House before entering the village of Thame. Visit the Thame Monastery and enjoy the beautiful view of surrounding mountain peaks.

Day 15Thame to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) – 5 hrs

The trail descends slowly to Samde. Get the sights of great peaks of the Khumbu region including Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m), Mt. Taboche (6367m) and 100’s of peaks. Crossing several villages and monasteries, the trail descends to Syangboche before reaching Namche Bazar. Evening excursion to Namche Bazar, the Sherpa town vibrant with tourists from all around the world.

Day 16Namche to Lukla (2,860 m) – 6 hrs

Follow the Dudh Koshi River downhill through forests and suspension bridges to Lukla, celebrating the completion of your trek with your team.

Day 17Fly Back to Kathmandu

Morning scenic flight to Kathmandu. Free afternoon to relax, shop, or enjoy a farewell dinner.

Day 18Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight.
