Tour Details

Everest Base Camp Trek begins with an “eye opening” flight to Lukla at 2800 meters and passes through the picturesque Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar to Gorak Shep culminating in the “ascent” of Kalapatthar (5643 m) from where classic views of Everest and its surrounding peaks are seen. Most of the trek is spent above altitude of 3000 meters in the Khumbu and Imja valley. There will be plenty of time to enjoy the culture of the Sherpas, visit ancient monastries and learn influence of Lamaistic Buddhism on Sherpa’s life. Beautiful, multi-hued prayer flags , prayer wheels and intricately carved Mani stones line every hilltop, rock wall and trailside chant prayers to the gods with every breeze and every passing traveller.

Itinerary

Day 01Kathmandu (1337 m)

Welcome receive from international airport with garland. Transfer, check-in to the hotel, program briefing in the evening.

Day 02Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, start Kathmandu valley sightseeing including: Pashupatinath temple & Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Afternoon, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Evening, welcome traditional dinner with culture dance.

Day 03Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) to Phakding (2610m) - 4 hours

After breakfast, transfer to domestic airport & fly about 35 minutes to Lukla. After Lunch start trek to Phakding. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 04Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) – 6 hours

Trek to Namche Bazar. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 05Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Namche Bazar Excursion, Visit Sherpa Museum and Everest View Point. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 06Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867m) – 6 hours

Trek starts after breakfast, the path follows the Dudh Koshi River, magnificent view of the mountain ranges including Mt. Everest (top of the world). Visit Tengboche Monastery. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 07Tengboche to Dingboche (4410 m) – 6 hours

Trek path passes through beautiful Alpine and Rhododendron Forest. Encounter endogenous animals and birds including Musk Dear, Blue Sheep and Lophophorus. Meet the real Mountain Sherpa People. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 08Dingboche (4260m)

Day free (rest) for Acclimatization. Hike Nangkartshang Peak (5083 m) or visit Chhukung (Island Peak Base Camp/ view Point). Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 09Dingboche to Lobuche (4910 m) - 6 hours

Trekking route turns into a dry and stony Path. View beautiful and popular Khumbu Fall including close-up view of Mt. Everest. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 10Lobuche to GorakShep (5180m) - EBC Excursion-9 hours

Trek to GorakShep for about 4 hours following the rocky moraine path. View icy glacial ponds and icebergs below of Khumbu Glacier. Pause the trek at GorakShep for lunch and short rest. Resume trek to Everest Base Camp (5364 m, about 3 hours), gently ascend with a zig-zag path. After short excursion of Everest Base Camp, trek down 2 hours to similar descend up to GorakShep. Enjoy the delicious dinner. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 11Gorakh Shep to Pheriche (4240m)- 5 hours

Early in the morning climb to Kalapatthar (5643 m) about 2.5 hours. Walk steeply ascending until reaching a rocky spot of Kalapatthar. Panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Amadabalam, Mt. Thamserku. Mt. Kusum-Kangaroo, Mt. Konde, Mt. Tabuche, Mt. Cholaste and more. Return back to hotel, after breakfast trek about 5 hours to Pheriche. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.
