Gokyo Cho-La Pass and Everest Base Camp Trek is the breezy trek into the Everest/Khumbu region which consolidates the Everest Base Camp with the Gokyo valley and the high Cho-La pass at the height of 5369 m. This trekking trail offers the shocking perspectives on numerous Himalaya Peaks  like Mt. Everest (8848m.), Barun-Tse, Lhotse, Makalu, Amadablam, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, Mt. Pumori and many more. The common excellence, rich and extraordinary culture of the Sherpa occupants, lavish woodland, strolling over the day off, high pass gives the glorious delight to the guests which will be the lifetime memory. Gokyo valley is the remote Himalayan Valley which offers the perspective on the mountains, Glaciers, Gokyo Lake and so on. The significant features of this trek are the mountain vistas, Sacred Lakes of Gokyo and wonderful river valleys, icy masses, crossing Cho-La pass and so forth.

Itinerary

Day 01 Kathmandu (1337 m)

Welcome receive from international airport with garland. Transfer, check-in to the hotel, program briefing in the evening.

Day 02Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, start Kathmandu valley sightseeing including: Pashupatinath temple & Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Afternoon, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Evening, welcome traditional dinner with culture dance.

Day 03Kathmandu - Lukla (2840m) to Phakding (2610 m) - 4 hours

After breakfast, transfer to domestic airport & fly about 35 minutes to Lukla. After Lunch start trek to Phakding. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 4Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) – 6 hours

Trek to Namche Bazar. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 05Acclimatization at Namche Bazar (3440 m)

Namche Bazar Excursion, Visit Sherpa Museum and Everest View Point. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 06Namche Bazar to Phortse Thanga (3680m) - 6 hours

Trek begins promptly after breakfast at Namche. The trail after Khumjung Valley is crisscross and desolate. You can see Blue Sheep, Himalayan Thar, Lophophorous and Mountain Pheasant and numerous types of Himalaya Vegetations. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 07Phortse Thange to Machhermo (4470 m) - 7 hours

After breakfast, trek start with a consistent move up to the Ridge. The tantalizing views of the mountain like Thamserku and Kangteka lead you to Luza for lunch. After, the trek beings towards Machhermo. The Himalayan salvage medical clinic has been set up there with the office of the essential first aid treatment. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 08Machhermo to Gokyo (4790m) 5-6 hours

The trek begins with a delicate move through the edge of Chorten. The view of the satisfying mountains and down valleys are amazing. Following the trail, reach to the riverbed and climb intensely through the moraine of the Ngozumba Glacier. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 09Gokyo Lake to Dragnag (4700 m) - 3 hours

Early in the first part of the day begin to climb Gokyo–Ri (5360m) about 2.5 hours. Panoramic view of various mountains including; Cho-Oyu, Pumori, Nuptse, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Barun-Tse, Ama-Dablam, Thamserku and more are seen. Return back to hotel, after breakfast trek to Dragnag which is considered as the base of Cho-La Pass. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 10Dragnag– Cho-La (5369 m) - Dzongla (4830 m) - 7 hours

The trek start early morning with breakfast and hot soup. Trail drives delicately rising the base of the Cho-La and climbing is unfaltering till the top. The views of Lofty mountains including Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Cho-Oyo, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cholaste, Mt. Tawache, Mt. Gyachung Kang and a lot more are indefinable by words. Finally, the Cho-La is plunging till the Dzongla, a small village. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 11Dzongla - Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5140m)- 7 hours

The trekking starts after breakfast at Dzongla. The trail leads with astounding closeup views of Tawache and Cholatse. Trek around 3 hours to reach Lobuche for lunch. Further trek around 4 hours to Gorakshep. After a cup of tea/coffee start to climb Kala-Patthar about 2.5 hours. Stunning view of Sunset over the Himalaya ranges including; Mt. Everest and numerous others like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama-Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and more. Trek back and overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 12Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp (5364m) to Pheriche (4240 m)

Early morning start trek to Everest Base Camp (5364 m, about 3 hours), gently ascend with zig-zag path. After short excursion of Everest Base Camp, trek down 2 hours to similar descend up to Gorakshep. After breakfast, trek about 5 hours to Pheriche. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 13Pheriche - Kyangjuma (3550 m) - 6 hours

Trek to Kyangjuma after breakfast. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 14Kyangjuma - Phakding - 7 hours

Trek about 7 hours to Phakding. Overnight stay at Trekker’s Lodge.

Day 15Phakding to Lukla -5 hours

Trek to Lukla for about 5 hours. Rest and overnight at Trekker’s lodge.

Day 16Lukla to Kathmandu.

Fly to Kathmandu (35 mins). Arrival pick-up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 17Departure

After breakfast, transfer to International airport for final departure.
