Our mission is to inspire all Yatries to complete the two-day Parikrama around Holy Mount Kailash and partake in a ritual bath in the Sacred Lake Mansarovar, which is believed to cleanse all past mortal sins and pave the spiritual path to heaven. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed in traditional Nepali Rudraksha and Garland. After you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Today is reserved for the Tibet visa application process and document verification. Our team will complete all formalities to ensure a smooth and hassle-free visa process. The evening is free for leisure activities or self-excursions around the vibrant streets of Kathmandu.
After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Kathmandu, visiting key spiritual and cultural landmarks including the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, the reclining statue of Lord Vishnu at Budhanilkantha, the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, and a rare darshan of the Kumari, Nepal’s Living Goddess.
Today’s highlights feature a cultural exploration of the Kathmandu Valley, including a visit to the historic Bhaktapur Durbar Square and the sacred Doleshwor Mahadev Temple, believed to be the head of Lord Kedarnath. The day also includes Tibet visa collection, followed by an evening program briefing and assistance with packing for the upcoming journey.
Enjoy a scenic drive to Timure (127 km, approx. 7 hours), passing through the beautiful Nuwakot Valley and Uttarkashi. Enter the lush landscapes of Langtang National Park and continue through Dhunche, the district capital of Rasuwa. The journey continues passes through Syabrubesi, the gateway of Langtang Himalayan Trekking, before reaching Timure (Nepal–China Border).
After breakfast, take a short walk to cross the border bridge. After completing immigration formalities, enter the Autonomous Region of Tibet-China. From the border, drive about 1 hour (24 km) to reach Kerung City, nestled at the foot of pine-covered hills. The city lies on the eastern bank of the Kyirong Tsangpo River, a source stream of Nepal’s Trishuli River.
Begin your journey to Saga, driving approximately 4 to 5 hours covering 240 km, crossing the Kerung County and gradually ascending onto the vast Tibetan Plateau. Along the way, witness the unique nomadic Tibetan lifestyle and the dramatic high-altitude landscapes. Drive passes through the serene Pigu-Tso Lake and the legendary valley believed to be destroyed by Brahmastra during the Mahabharata era. Continue onward to cross the sacred Brahmaputra River—believed to have originated from Lord Brahma’s mind—before arriving in Saga, known as “Happy Land” in the Tibetan language, located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.
The drive to Paryang covers approximately 250 km and takes about 5 to 6 hours, offering a truly visual and spiritual journey across the vast western plains of Tibet. As you travel, you’ll be surrounded by mesmerizing scenery, Tibetan cultural reflections, and a profound sense of isolation. The route is rich with wildlife, as the area is part of the Changthang Wildlife Reserve, where travelers may spot Tibetan antelopes, wild donkeys (kiangs), and marmots. The landscape features salt lakes, dry riverbeds, and winding stream- reminders of ancient glacial activity. On the journey you’ll also catch breathtaking glimpses of the Sisapangma and Juphal Himalaya Range to the south.
Drive to Sacred Lake Mansarovar (252 km, 5hrs). crossing Mayum-La and encounter innumerous herds of Sheep, Yaks, wild Horses (kang), Deers, and species of local and migratory Himalayan birds including Tibetan Nomadic. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mansarovar Lake and the southern face of Mount Kailash. Continue driving for Mansarovar Parikrama, on the way journey pause for holy shower and puja. After, continue driving to Chiu-Gompa crossing the Ravana Lake and Magnificent view of Gurlaman-Datta Himalaya.
The morning is free for spiritual activities. Have a divine darshan of Mansarovar Lake and Mount Kailash at dawn with Sunrise view over the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Perform Puja and Hawan (Vedic Rituals) for a deeper spiritual connection. Afterward, drive to Darchen (40 km, 1-2 hours), the base for the Kailash Parvat. Check into the hotel for rest and prepare for the holy Mt. Kailash Parikrama.
After breakfast, drive to Yam-Dwar (20 minutes), the starting point of the Kailash Parikrama. Begin your trek to Diraphuk (12 km, 6-7hours). Along the way, divine darshan of the west face of Mount Kailash and follow the river originating from the northern feet of the Mount Kailash. Upon reaching Diraphuk, take in the stunning views of Kailash Purna-Lingam, Sesh-Sworupa, the sacred Shivasthali and Diraphuk Gompa. If you’re not too exhausted, continue for an additional 2 hours to experience the Northern Inner Darshan for a closer spiritual connection.
Trek to Zhuthulphuk, covering 18 km in 9-10 hours, while crossing Dolma-La (5670m), the highest elevation of this Yatra. Along the way, visit the sacred sites of Shivasthali, Ganesh Kund, Ganesh Parvat and Gauri Kund, the sacred abode of Mata Parvati also regards as the navel of the Earth. As you descend, witness the stunning east face of Mount Kailash, which is revered as a Shree Yantram, symbolizing divine energy and cosmic significance.
After breakfast, trek for approximately 3 hours to complete the Kailash Parikrama. Upon reaching the end point of the Parikrama, you will be received by your vehicle and continue the drive 7-8 hours to Saga
Early in the morning drive to the Kerung Border (3 hours). After clearing immigration, the journey continues 5-6 hours to Kathmandu
