Outstanding exotic destination to Manaslu Circuit & Larkya-la, where you will be surrounded by awesome high peaks within the mid hills of Mt. Manaslu, Eastern Annapurna Himalaya range of mountains in the shade of gigantic Ganesh Himal towards east. On this trek you can view from worlds 08th  highest Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 m, 10th highest Annapurna I (8,091m / 26,545ft) Annapurna South (7,219m-23,693ft), Gangapurna (7,455m-24,457ft) and Annapurna III (7,555m-24,787ft), including to Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail) at 6,997 m stretches up towards east Ganesh Himal 7,405 m with more peaks across the horizon along with the striking sunrise along the route of this fabulous trek Manaslu Circuit & Larkya-la located beneath the high mountains at mere distance from Tibet border. This trek is moderate and adventurous with steep uphill for few days, where all types of travelers can join in this wonderful walking journey and the time duration taking less than two week in the comfort of lodge where available along the route.

Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu (1,365 m)

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. The day is free to rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, there will be a briefing about the trek, route conditions, permits, and a final equipment check.

Day 02Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

A full-day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, explore the medieval architecture of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and enjoy panoramic city views from Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple).

Day 03Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (930 m) – Drive: ~7 hrs

Drive west from Kathmandu along rivers and terraced hills to reach Machha Khola. The journey offers views of rural Nepal, deep valleys, and traditional villages as you approach the trekking region.

Day 04Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1,370 m) – Trek: 6–7 hrs

Begin trekking along the Budhi Gandaki River, crossing suspension bridges and passing small settlements. The trail involves ascents and descents through narrow gorges and forested paths before reaching the stone-paved village of Jagat.

Day 05Trek from Jagat to Deng (1,860 m) – Trek: 6–7 hrs

The trail gradually ascends through villages and terraced fields, crossing several rivers and bridges. As you move higher, Tibetan-influenced culture becomes more noticeable, with prayer flags and mani walls along the trail.

Day 06Trek from Deng to Namrung (2,540 m) – Trek: 6–7 hrs

A scenic trekking day through forests and alpine landscapes. Pass through traditional settlements and cross suspension bridges before reaching Namrung, which offers beautiful views of Manaslu and surrounding peaks.

Day 07Trek from Namrung to Lho (3,020 m) – Trek: 4–5 hrs

The trail continues through charming villages with strong Tibetan Buddhist influence. As altitude increases, the views of Mt. Manaslu become more prominent. Lho is known for its monastery and impressive mountain backdrop.

Day 08Trek from Lho to Samagaun (3,390 m) – Trek: 4–5 hrs

A relatively short and scenic trek through alpine meadows and traditional villages. Mani walls, chortens, and prayer flags line the trail as you reach Samagaun, one of the largest villages in the Manaslu region.

Day 09Acclimatization & Exploration Day in Samagaun (3,390 m)

A rest and acclimatization day to prepare for higher altitude. Optional hikes include a visit to Manaslu Base Camp or Birendra Lake. This day helps the body adjust while offering stunning mountain scenery.

Day 10Trek from Samagaun to Samdo (3,690 m) – Trek: 4–5 hrs

The trail gently ascends through open alpine terrain with wide valley views. Samdo is a remote high-altitude village near the Tibetan border, rich in culture and mountain scenery.

Day 11Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4,460 m) – Trek: 4–5 hrs

A gradual ascent along a rugged trail leads to Dharamsala, also known as Larkya Phedi. This is the final stop before crossing the high mountain pass, surrounded by dramatic Himalayan landscapes.

Day 12Trek from Dharamsala to Bhimtang (3,590 m) via Larkya La Pass (5,106 m) – Trek: 8–9 hrs

One of the most challenging and rewarding days of the trek. Cross the Larkya La Pass, the highest point of the Manaslu Circuit, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Manaslu, Himlung, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II. A long descent follows to Bhimtang.

Day 13Trek from Bhimtang to Tilje (2,300 m) – Trek: 5–6 hrs

Descend through alpine forests, rhododendron trees, and glacial river valleys. The trail gradually leads to lower altitudes with warmer temperatures and richer vegetation.

Day 14Drive from Tilje to Kathmandu (1,365 m) – Trek: ~3 hrs | Drive: 7–8 hrs

A short trek brings you to the road head, followed by a scenic drive back to Kathmandu through river valleys and hillside villages.

Day 15Departure

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport according to your flight schedule, marking the end of the Manaslu Circuit adventure.
