Kathmandu · Pokhara

This itinerary splits its time between Kathmandu‘s Temples and the lakeside town of Pokhara, Nepal’s gateway to the Annapurna range. After arrival in Kathmandu, the group drives to Pokhara, with an optional stop at Manakamana Devi Temple en route, arriving in time for an evening at Phewa Lake. A full day in Pokhara covers Vindhyawasini Temple, Seti Gorge, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave and Pumdikot Mahadev, along with an hour’s boat ride to Tal-Barahi Temple. The return drive to Kathmandu includes a stop at Swayambhunath Stupa, and the final full day is given to the Kathmandu Valley’s heritage sites: Budhanilkantha, Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Doleshwor Mahadev, with the evening free for shopping. The route involves two long drives of around seven hours each and otherwise easy sightseeing, with an optional Pokhara–Kathmandu flight available for those who would rather not drive both ways.
