Kathmandu · Pokhara · Muktinath · Chitwan

This ten-day itinerary combines the two extensions of our Pokhara tour: the Muktinath pilgrimage to the north and the Chitwan jungle to the south, in a single circuit from Kathmandu. After Pokhara, the route follows the Trans-Himalayan road to Jomsom and on to Muktinath Temple at 3,762 m for puja and the holy bath, returning to Pokhara the same day. A day of Pokhara sightseeing follows, covering Vindhyavasini Temple, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave and Phewa Lake, before the group drives south to Chitwan for jungle activities: canoeing on the Rapti River, a visit to the Elephant Breeding Center, a jungle safari and a Tharu cultural evening. The return drive to Kathmandu takes in Swayambhunath Stupa, and a final day covers the valley’s Temples and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. All meals are included in Chitwan, and Pokhara–Jomsom travel is by air both ways, with ACAP permit fees covered. It is the longest and most complete of our six routes.
