Visa rules and fees are set by the Nepal Department of Immigration and may change; please reconfirm with us before travel.
Travellers must hold an ordinary passport with a minimum of 6 months’ validity from the departure date, along with a valid Nepal entry visa (on arrival or pre-arranged, as applicable). For the Muktinath and Classic Nepal routes, details should be shared with us at least 7 days before departure so that Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permits can be arranged.

The Nagarkot, Pokhara, Chitwan, Muktinath and Muktinath-Chitwan routes are graded Easy and suit travellers of ordinary fitness. The Classic Nepal route includes two days of trekking up to 2,170 m and is graded Moderate; travellers with cardiac or respiratory conditions should consult their doctor before the Jomsom–Muktinath drive (up to 3,762 m) or the Ghandruk–Chhomrong trek. Regular light exercise before travel is recommended for both.
Meals follow the Modified American Plan (breakfast and dinner) in Kathmandu and Pokhara, with all meals provided during the Chitwan jungle package and during the Classic Nepal trekking days. Lunch en route is at the traveller’s own cost unless stated otherwise in a route’s inclusions.
We strongly advise travellers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment and emergency evacuation, particularly for the Muktinath, Muktinath-Chitwan and Classic Nepal routes, which reach higher altitudes.

The Nagarkot, Pokhara and Chitwan routes stay below 2,200 m and present no altitude concerns. The Muktinath and Muktinath-Chitwan routes climb to 3,762 m in a single day from Jomsom; mild symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (headache, light breathlessness) are possible and usually pass with rest and hydration. The Classic Nepal trek reaches a modest 2,170 m at Chhomrong over two trekking days.
Travellers with cardiac, respiratory or other relevant medical conditions should consult their doctor before booking the Muktinath, Muktinath-Chitwan or Classic Nepal routes. We recommend drinking plenty of water, pacing yourself on trekking days, and carrying any personal prescription medicines.
