Manakamana Cable Car

Nepal’s first passenger cable car rises about 1,000 m from Kurintar on the Prithvi Highway to the hilltop Manakamana Temple, the wish-fulfilling Goddess Bhagwati, with views of the Trishuli valley and, on clear days, Manaslu and Annapurna.

The cable car stops on the way between Kathmandu and Pokhara or Chitwan, so it fits a transfer day. Allow extra time on Saturdays and festival days, when the queue for darshan at the Temple can be long.
