Maula Kalika Cable Car

A cable car from Gaindakot, across the Narayani River from Narayangadh, to the hilltop Maula Kalika Temple, one of the most visited Shakti shrines in central Nepal, with views over the Chitwan plains and the Narayani valley. It opened on Nepali New Year in April 2023.

It is a short drive from Narayangadh and about an hour from Sauraha, so it fits easily on the way to or from Chitwan National Park. Before the cable car, pilgrims climbed more than 1,000 steps to the Temple.
